The Danvers Alarm List Company began the Danvers’ 274th Annual Town Meeting with a color guard. After roll call, reviewing Warrant Articles began with Town Meeting Member and Chairman of the Danvers semiquincentennial committee, David McKenna delivering a resolution, as written by Town Archivist Richard B. Trask, to reaffirm the Town’s 1776 vote to support the Continental Congress vote to secede from the British Crown. The resolution passed unanimously.
