REV250 MarbleheadWednesday, November 18th 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm

The strikingly high number of rebel Patriots in Revolutionary Marblehead is remarkable, especially compared to only about a dozen heads of households who held Tory sympathies.   Proportionately, that is very similar to Danvers.  What ignited those rebellious tendencies in Marblehead, and drove hundreds of the town’s rebels to serve and fight for the cause of independence ?  And what were the ramifications of that in that town ?

Social, cultural and architectural historian Judy Anderson will explore all of that, highlighting the experiences of three Marblehead Tories in particular.

We are proud to participate in Mass Cultural Council’s Card to Culture program.
