Gretchen Sinnett Awarded Salem State University Civic Engagement Award

By July 19, 2021 News

Gretchen Sinnett has been involved with the Danvers Historical Society since 2013. On April 22 2021, Gretchen Sinnett, Professor of Art and History was awarded the Civic Engagement Award for her work with the Danvers Historical Society. The Civic Engagement Ceremony was held virtually this year. Every September and every April, Gretchen’s students visit Tapley Memorial Hall, have their artifacts displayed on high top tables, and doors are open to the public to learn about the history of the artifacts. Gretchen has worked with Sheila Cooke-Kayser since the beginning and the two still continue to learn about the history and significance of Danvers, and therefore we thank Gretchen for helping make our Discover Danvers program what it is. Congratulations, Gretchen, and thank you for all you do.
