Wooden Canteen

1895.26.1: A canteen comprised of wood prominently bearing the initials D.A, typifying the owner as belonging to Danvers’ army artillery, and painted black upon it’s central body, surrounded via red bands. The date wherein the container was discovered would be May Thirteenth, 1895, and Peabody, followed with South Danvers, were its original residences. The artifact possesses a 3.75 inch width and a 6.25 inch diameter.
