Research Library

Research records regarding Danvers history and genealogy are now located at the public library here in Danvers: The Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923, 978-774-0554, www.noblenet.org/danvers. We no longer have a research library here at Danvers Historical Society.

We have a small organizational, preservation, museum studies and historical research library with some local history and family history books on the Putnam family. Library hours by appointment only between 9-1.

If you are doing genealogical research, there are some genealogists in the area that will do your research for a charge; you may contact the office to obtain a list.
